Position layouts with racks, cakes, and modules  •  Auto-imported from firing system scripts  •  Per-tube cue assignment

Plan on real maps

  • Drop firing positions on live satellite imagery in 2D, or tilt into a true 3D view with buildings and time-of-day lighting
  • Set pin heights so elevated positions (rooftops, towers, barges) sit at their real altitude
  • Grid mode for paper-only layouts on a calibrated, real-distance grid
  • Per-position canvases with grid snapping, drag, rotate, and scale
  • Multi-select rotate and scale around the selection center for whole batches at once
  • Measure tool for real-world distances, plus audience zones, range lines, and labeled text
  • Light and dark mode

Build the show

  • Racks (mortar grids) with per-column angles
  • Comet Racks with per-tube angles and calibers
  • Arched Fans: half-circle comet arches with tube angles spread evenly across the arc
  • Cakes (multi-shot single-cue products) and single FX
  • Fans / Slices (rows of comets or mines on one cue)
  • Letter Racks: spell letters or digits out of single-shot devices
  • Cakeboards / platforms as a surface for bundling smaller items
  • Save your own custom racks to a personal My Racks library and reuse them on any show
  • Lock individual items so they cannot drift

Wire the firing systems

  • Modules for Cobra, FireOne, Ignite, Pyrodigital, Firelinx, Pyromate, Omega Fire, Mongoose, or Manual
  • Multi-channel modules (18 / 36 / 72) split into channels, each with its own color and used count
  • Per-tube cue assignment with automatic numbering
  • Set your system once and cues format to match your hardware

Import existing scripts

  • Drop in a Cobra, FireOne, Ignite, Finale, or Pyro Digital file and PyroLayout reads your modules and cues
  • Auto-detect product types (rack, cake, fan, flame) from product names
  • Auto-place from Finale coordinate exports straight onto the map
  • Match imported single-shot racks to your saved My Racks designs

Print the paperwork

  • Field map report showing every position, item, and label
  • Module wiring sheets, one page per channel, so each firer knows exactly what plugs where
  • Cue sheets sorted by module and cue
  • Site overview on satellite or 3D map for the safety briefing
  • Print or save to PDF for the paper crew

Save and share

  • Save unlimited shows on a paid plan
  • Add seats for shoot-site machines without paying for full extra accounts
  • Export the full show as a .pyro file with or without the map background
  • Per-show metadata: date, venue, shooter, firing system, free-form notes

Stay in touch

  • Bug tracker built into the app, every report goes straight to the developer
  • Limited free 7-day trial, no card on file
Everything you need to
run a professional show
From a single mortar to a multi-position grand finale, PyroLayout keeps your entire crew on the same page.
πŸ—ΊοΈ
2D & 3D Map Layout
Search any address and place positions on real satellite imagery. Keep it flat top-down, or tilt into a 3D view with buildings, time-of-day lighting, and elevated pin heights for rooftops, towers, and barges.
πŸ“
Drag-and-Drop Positions
Add launch positions anywhere on the map. Rename, color-code, and organize them exactly how your crew thinks about the site.
πŸŽ†
Every Product Type
Racks, comet racks, arched fans, cakes, slices, single FX, and letter racks that spell words out of single shots. Per-tube angles and calibers, with cue numbers assigned automatically. Save your own designs to reuse on any show.
πŸ“₯
Import Existing Scripts
Bring in shows from Cobra, FireOne, Ignite, Finale, or Pyro Digital. PyroLayout auto-builds your modules, cues, and product list so you can lay out positions in minutes instead of retyping every line.
πŸ–¨οΈ
Crew-Ready Reports
Print the paperwork your crew actually fires from: field maps, per-channel module wiring sheets, cue sheets, and a site overview for the safety briefing. Save to PDF and hand it to the paper crew.
πŸ”’
Audience Zone Drawing
Draw freeform audience zones directly on the map. Lock them once placed and always know where your crowd boundary sits.
⚑
Multi-System Support
Works with all major firing systems. Set your system once and PyroLayout formats cue assignments to match your hardware.

Common questions
What do I need to run PyroLayout?
Just a modern web browser on a desktop or laptop. PyroLayout runs entirely in your browser, no installation required.
Can I use PyroLayout on my phone or tablet?
No. The design canvas needs a larger screen and a mouse, so PyroLayout is built for desktop and laptop computers only, not phones or tablets. Sign up and build your shows from a computer.
Do I need internet access at the show site?
Yes. PyroLayout requires an active internet connection. This keeps your show data synced and satellite imagery up to date at all times.
Which firing systems are supported?
PyroLayout supports Cobra, Firelinx, FireOne, Ignite, Mongoose, Omega Fire, Pyrodigital, Pyromate, and manual firing. More systems are added regularly.
Can I print paperwork for my crew?
Yes. PyroLayout generates crew-ready reports: a field map of every position and item, module wiring sheets broken out one page per channel, cue sheets sorted by module and cue, and a site overview on the satellite or 3D map. Print them or save to PDF for the paper crew.
Can I import a show I already built?
Yes. Drop in a script from Cobra, FireOne, Ignite, Finale, or Pyro Digital and PyroLayout reads your modules, cues, and products, auto-detects product types, and (for coordinate exports) can place items straight onto the map. You lay out positions in minutes instead of retyping every line.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, cancel any time from your account settings. You keep full access until the end of your billing period, no surprise charges.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Every new account starts with a free 7-day trial. No card required. You can build a show, place positions, and try out the canvas during the trial. When the trial ends you can pay to keep your work or close the account.
